We offer three types of rentals:

1. Corporate rentals are for team building, staff appreciation, company retreats, and social club outings — available to both members and non-members at the same rate.

2. Community rentals are for private or personal events like birthday parties, baby or wedding showers, reunions, and fundraisers — not available for corporate or company-sponsored events.

3. Member rentals are available to current members for personal use at a discounted rate. Contact us at rentals@rotaryparklawnbowls.com for member pricing.

No. At this time, we do not offer single-lane rentals.

• Corporate groups - Our standard base rental fee is $1000 for four (4) hours.

• Community groups - Our standard base rental fee is $600 for four (4) hours.

• Extra hours can be added upon request (if available) for $150/hour.

• Bar service (optional add on):

  We proudly feature a rotation of local breweries and craft beverage makers!

  • $8 per drink (featuring craft beer, canned craft cocktails or mocktails, or wine)

  • $2 per pop, bubbly, or water

• A 50% deposit confirms your booking. The balance is due on the day of your event.

• Discounted rates are available for RPLBC members for personal use — please contact us for details.

You'll need to provide a Certificate of Insurance at least two business days before your event.

Coverage must be at least $1,000,000 (though $2,000,000 is strongly recommended), must list Rotary Park Lawn Bowling Club as an Additional Insured, must specify the event date and location, and must include host liquor liability coverage if alcohol will be served.

If you're not sure what you need, just ask.

Yes. You have two options:

1. You can bring your own alcohol with a valid AGLC event liquor licence, which must be sent to us ahead of time and brought to your event. BYOB beverages can be stored in your own coolers or in the clubhouse fridge.

2. Alternatively you can add our bar service, which features local craft beer, canned cocktails, mocktails, wine, pop, water & bubbly.

• Our bar features a rotating selection of local craft beer, craft cocktails, and craft mocktails — plus wine, pop, bubbly water, and regular bottled water.

• We proudly support Calgary-area breweries and small-batch beverage makers, so our offerings change throughout the season.

• Drink prices:

  • $8 for local craft beer, craft cocktails, craft mocktails, and wine

  • $2 for pop, bubbly, and water

Yes. You're welcome to bring your own food, hire a caterer, or arrange a food truck. You'll have full access to the kitchen, fridge, and gas BBQ. We also have a vending machine in the clubhouse for a quick snack fix. Please note that Rotary Park does not provide catering or full food service.

Up to 150 guests on the property, with up to 128 people on the greens at once. If your group is larger than 128, please let us know when booking.

Setup time must be factored into your total rental period. We occasionally have multiple events on the same day and a limited number of volunteers, so early access is not always available. Let us know your setup needs when booking and we'll do our best to accommodate.

• Yes — trained volunteer(s) from the club will be there to:

  • Open and close the facility

  • Set up the greens and equipment

  • Offer a quick demo of the game and rules (if requested)

  • Run the bar (if booked)

  • Answer any questions during your event might have about the facility or the game!

Flat-soled shoes or bare feet only on the greens. No heels, boots, dress shoes, wedges, or Blundstones — no exceptions.

Dress comfortably for outdoor activity.

All-white attire is traditional but absolutely not required.

Not at all. Our volunteers will walk your group through the basics and get everyone going quickly. You can also check out our Lawn Bowling Basics page ahead of time.

• This is up to you! You can play in pairs, 3s or 4s.

  • Our greens hold a maximum of 128 people.

Limited free on-site parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There is also two-hour street parking on 1st Street NW and paid parking north of the clubhouse.

Please be respectful of our neighbours — do not park in the back lane, block access to the City of Calgary Emergency Operations Centre, or block any neighbouring driveways.

We'll reach out if conditions look poor and work through options with you.

Cancellations made more than one week before your event date receive a full deposit refund.

Cancellations made less than one week before your event date are non-refundable.

All club rules and policies apply during your rental.

No smoking or vaping inside the fence — there is an ashtray by the gate.

Please return all equipment after your event and help keep the club tidy. I
