Reasons to Bowl With Us
-

Why Join Rotary Park?
Come for the Sport. Stay for the People. Rotary Park is more than a lawn bowling club. It's one of Calgary's most active outdoor communities and one of the best kept secrets in the city.
-

You're Among Friends.
Show up once and you'll know people by name. Our members are what make this place, welcoming, competitive when it counts, and always up for a cold drink after a game.
-

Play at Your Level.
Never picked up a bowl before? Perfect. We have room for complete beginners and seasoned players alike. No experience required, just flat-soled shoes and a willingness to give it a go.
-

Learn as You Play.
Our experienced members and coordinators are always happy to help new players find their feet. You'll be throwing a decent draw shot before you know it.
-

Social or Competitive, You Choose.
We have leagues for every style of play, from relaxed social nights to more competitive draw leagues. Play as hard or as casually as you like.
-

We ♥ a Good Mascot.
Your well-behaved, leashed friends are always welcome on the property. They just have to stay off the greens. The members, however, will absolutely make a fuss over them.

Check out our Lawn Bowling Basics page to get a head start. -
Just flat-soled footwear. Runners, sandals, deck shoes, or even bare feet all work. We supply everything else, including bowls, jacks, and mats. Heeled footwear isn't permitted on the greens.

You're welcome to bring your own food — just be prepared to pay the snack tax (our Club President accepts payment in kind). We also have a vending machine in the clubhouse for a quick snack fix.
Outside alcohol isn't permitted during league play — but with local craft beer, wine, and cold drinks available at The Ditch, you won't need to.
